Scope
Six covers were designed for different volumes of the series, each reflecting a distinct theme. The publication brings together the work of 10 invited artists, with one selected to be featured on the cover.
For each volume, visual continuity between the front and back covers was pursued through typography and collage, embodying the concept of the publication. Endpapers were also designed for each volume, echoing graphic elements drawn from the cover.
Some of the themes explored: The Xenophile (Vol. 1), Duende (Vol. 2), Sisters (Vol. 5).
Identity
A logotype was also created for the publication, rooted in Federico García Lorca's concept of Duende from his 1933 lecture, Theory and Play of the Duende. The design draws on ornamentation from the early history of typography, honoring the importance of analogue methods. See logotype here.
