Concept

The research touches on how racialized many of these issues are: from the population working in the oil fields, to the way San Benito, the only black saint, has become a crucial part of the culture in the City of Cabimas. In this historic moment, given the current political context of oil relations between the United States and Venezuela, the topics explored in this timely exhibition pose questions on the very dynamics that will shape international relations for years to come. This catalog serves as a bibliographical and teaching resource that can be read in three languages.
